Reflecting on My E-Portfolio Creation Journey: A Week in Review

I would like to begin with a recap of last week’s blog. I had advised using AI on wix to set up my portfolio went well but actually this method ended up not working for me. It had originally created a sales website based on the keywords I provided. I am not selling myself or anything based on my portfolio. I had to make another site. I watched like 2 or 3 YouTube video tutorials for a walk through to help on my portfolio creation. I ended up using a template and have been enjoying my daily work on my page. One of the hardest tasks i faced this week on my e-Portfolio creation was creating a link to my Innovation proposal. I reached out to my group initially specifically for help with WIX. I was advised it was difficult so i did some digging and had a few fails. What ended up working for me was I created and shared a google drive document (in this case; my proposal) and published to the web. Then I copied the link it provided. I then on my WIX page right clicked over the text i wanted to link. There was an embed button and I was able to post the link I copied into it. I actually found this through trial and error. I really like how WIX has been user friendly to me. On a different note for my week; For discussion this week we shared our thoughts on whether we should or should not use an e-Portfolio. Of course, everyone in my group said yes and had really good information to support it. I did research on why I think they are beneficial. I really found interest in Kolb's Experiential Learning Model. This circle is a form of a 4 stage process to help with effective learning.

I believe that the focus and use of this model can help me grow in my portfolio and through this as a professional. My e-Portfolio is going to grow with my own personal experience from my Applied Digital Technology degree. I also will be able to add the training I do for work. My e-Portfolio is going to have all the information I can give on myself and my learning. I hope it helps others in the same career or education path as myself. I believe my e-Portfolio will be most beneficial for myself and my future. By having the collection of my personal work, being able to provide this for future employment in the education system will be unbelievable valuable.
