This week we are finalizing our work for my first 2 classes at Lamar. I want to share some insights that have motivated me. I do not want to toot my own horn, however I finally found a name and definition for how my motivation and mind work.

Growth Mindset: Embracing the Power of "Yet"

In one of my classes, we discussed the power of "yet" and it really provided motivation at that time of confusion. This was in the first 2 weeks of class. I am now at the end of this class still utilizing yet. I do not have 10 blog posts yet. That's where the growth mindset swoops in, inviting you to embrace the power of "yet."

For me, I have worked hard in the last 10 years to have a positive, growth mindset. I have used scripture to motivate me to always press forward.

Disruptive Innovations: Impactful changes

I have reviewed many proposals, literature reviews, and outlines the last 2 weeks. I have read about a variety of disruptive innovations presented to make life better. Better for students, teachers, parents, and more. The innovations that I read, as well as wrote myself is a challenge to the norm, includes technology, and pave the way for groundbreaking transformations. I am excited to see how my group will use these and the results.

I believe that embracing a growth mindset fuels the innovation engine, propelling us to think outside the box and drive change. The Mightier application will do this! Very

exciting! I think this innovation can be life changing for students and care givers. I found this valuable video providing a bit more in depth of Mightier and its games. It is so important to learn healthy habits and apply them.
