Life has been a whirlwind lately. Between developing a powerful call-to-action for implementing the Mightier app in professional learning, tackling WIX’s relentless image issues, managing work responsibilities, and preparing for my wedding in just 35 days, every moment feels like a balancing act.
Navigating Professional Learning and the Mightier App
My current project is all about shifting professional learning from the tired “sit and get” model to a more engaging and effective approach. The Mightier app is central to this transformation, offering a way to bring emotional regulation strategies into active learning environments. But advocating for change in an organization isn’t easy—it takes clear communication, compelling evidence, and a strong call-to-action.
The WIX Challenge: Fighting the Image Glitches
One of the unexpected battles of this journey has been working with WIX. While the platform is supposed to make website building seamless, I’ve been running into frustrating image issues that disrupt my workflow. Whether it’s sizing inconsistencies, slow loading, or images refusing to align properly, it’s been an exercise in patience and problem-solving—two skills I’ll definitely need as I push forward with my professional learning initiative. It looks like WIX is having issues with this and I thought I would share in case anyone has a solution.

Work, Wedding, and Keeping It All Together
As if this project wasn’t enough, work has been nonstop, adding to the long list of tasks demanding my attention. And then there’s my wedding—just 35 days away! Balancing meetings, content creation, and final wedding details has been a test of time management (and sanity). But through it all, I’m reminded why I do what I do—because real change, whether in professional learning or in life, takes effort, persistence, and a willingness to adapt.
Moving Forward
Despite the chaos, I’m excited about the impact this work can have. My goal is to create something that not only convinces my colleagues and administration to embrace a new professional learning model but also serves as a lasting resource that can evolve over time. And if I can survive WIX glitches and wedding planning, I can handle anything!
